I spent six years fine tuning my jack of all trades reputation in the New Orleans nonprofit world. I’ve built websites, ran a nonprofit newspaper, wrote grants, tutored and mentored middle schoolers and have led large crowds of volunteers in service projects. All of this led to my decision to pursue my Masters in Digital Media Design for Learning at NYU. My research focuses on how user experience impacts learning.
I’ve continued to develop my technical skills by learning p5.js, a javascript language in a Creative Coding class, writing papers as interactive, choose your own adventures in Twine and teaching myself video-editing for an ethnography course.
When I’m not flexing my research skills I’m writing fiction, freelance editing, designing costumes and throws for my Mardi Gras Krewe’s parade and hanging out with my 2 toddlers and my dog Jim.
